Portugal is one of the worldschooling destinations in Europe. Families searching for worldschooling programs in Portugal typically find a dedicated Boundless hub in Sintra, a capital-city gateway in Lisbon, and a separate nature school outside Aljezur — they are not the same place. Sintra is the Boundless hub; Lisbon is the logistics and lifestyle base next door; Into the Wild is an Algarve nature school. Other Portuguese bases mentioned in the wiki (Porto, Ericeira, Madeira) are nomad or family alternatives, not dedicated worldschooling hubs in this knowledge base.

Overview

Do not use Lisbon rent figures as a stand-in for Sintra, or Boundless package prices as a stand-in for independent Lisbon living.

  • Schengen: Portugal is in the Schengen Zone. Non-EU citizens can typically stay 90 days in any 180-day period on a tourist stay.
